International Talent Support is all about pure talent: it seeks to articulate the connections between the complex processes of cultural production, consumption and creativity, which here is intended in its broadest possible sense. Truth be told, it somehow manages to combine the three.
Despite the fact that we all seem to know what we are talking about when we talk about creativity, its exact meaning is still debated. Before I got hired into this company by the talent scout Barbara Franchin, I could not imagine I would ever be facing such a profusion of imagination, artistry and vision –at one time, in one place. My very own idea of what creativity is really about sunddenly evolved… for the better! I must say I’m having such a great time grabbing all portfolios at hand, coming from all over the world, and contemplating them wide eyes and open mouth. For people like me, professional players in the creative field, it’s like being Alice, who falls asleep and is carried away into her Wonderland by a dream.
But you all have to wait a whole year long, till it blossoms into the event, to see how stunning is its real beauty. ITS blossoms in the summer, it blossoms abundantly through just one long starry night, looming over the sea and facing the city lights.
Following the old adage “a picture is worth a thousand words”, which has merit for good reason, here’s the last edition teaser –containing so many images– consequently providing a much higher level of involvement than my writing abilities.
